The Advantages of Alternative Energy Sources

It is silly to constantly utilize dirty sources of energy and worry about them running out. If we harnessed the energy of the sun, wind, and water, we would have an infinite and endless sources of power for ourselves. We made the technology to use the energy sources we have now. The technology necessary to utilize alternative energy sources has become more affordable than ever before. Using alternative energy sources will even get you tax breaks. We can stop being dependent upon electricity through the use of renewable energy technology. If we want to begin helping our planet, then we need to make use of alternative energy sources. Alternative energy sources are being turned to more and more. Our demand for alternative energy sources is so great that there is no other option.

Alternate Energy Sources For Your Home
The energy from the sun, called solar energy, is a great alternative to electricity. You can easily install solar panels on your roof to collect energy. The energy from a solar source is able to heat your home, dry your clothes, and run various household appliances. Many people are able to use solar power to supply all the energy they need for their entire home.

Water can also be a valuable alternative source of energy. One type of alternative energy source that you may not be aware of is biogas. There are plenty of different resources for you to consider when it comes to alternative energy sources. They are a great way to save the resource of electricity as well as to save money on the cost of your energy sources.

Alternative Energy Sources - Energy Problem Settlement
Using alternative energy sources can solve these energy problems. The advancement in technology gives rise to alternative power sources such as wind power, solar power; especially they are renewable energy sources.

Solar power might be the best known alternative power source providing energy directly to your household. The panels collect the energy and convert it into electricity and store it. Wind power is known more traditional than solar power. This type of alternative energy is feasible because it is not expensive, easy to operate and environment-friendly. If you decide to use any alternative power source to improve your current energy, you should take consideration into solar power and wind power.

Hydrogen For Cars the Ultimate Fuel Today

With oil prices due to growing global demand for wide and the phenomenon of peak oil, there is essentially no more capacity to increase oil production above current levels, the race to find a viable alternative fuel source. One of the main candidates is the use of hydrogen for cars and trucks.

The other direct hydrogen combustion

BMW has always been to do things their own way and it is not surprising that hydrogen technology, unlike other manufacturers, BMW has opted for a normal car equipped with a tank containing hydrogen and hydrogen combustion engine instead gasoline. BMW have been testing the system with a series of seven and plans to have models on sale in the not too distant future. However, before this technology becomes mainstream specialist chain of service stations that supply hydrogen for cars would be built.

Hydrogen Fuel Cells

Almost all vehicle manufacturers are only now developing a new generation of vehicles using hydrogen instead of gasoline. These new generation vehicles are electric cars, or trucks, which use fuel cell technology instead of a battery to start the electric motor. Using a chemical process, fuel cells in these electric vehicles convert hydrogen is stored on board, and oxygen obtained directly from the air into electricity to power electric motors. This process is very efficient, much more than any other internal combustion engine. Most if not all of the hydrogen-based fuel cell systems currently under development for vehicles require service stations is adapted to provide hydrogen to fuel cars instead. The hydrogen car to car rolls with General Motors planning to put a fuel cell SUV in the hands of 100 consumers. In London, the first purpose built service station to provide hydrogen for cars was opened in April 2008 and three that opened in 2010.

Hydrogen hybrid conversion kit

So on the basis of the discussion so far does this mean for the hydrogen car the car will have to scrap your current vehicle. Well, help is at hand. It is possible to get the conversion kits that will allow your existing car to run on hydrogen, with the advantage that the kits are easy to install and do not have to rely on specialist service stations that provide hydrogen for cars. The United Nuclear Hydrogen fuel system is a conversion kit that provides hydrogen for the cars, which allows an existing vehicle to run on hydrogen. The kit is an intermediate approach that once installed allows your existing vehicle to run on hydrogen or gasoline. The conversion kit requires modifications to the engine management, electric system, ignition and cooling systems.

The hydrogen is stored in small tanks (tanks of hydrogen) that can be installed in almost any space within a vehicle. Hydrogen itself is generated by an additional system that can be installed in your garage the elimination of any trip to a specialist to provide hydrogen to fill cars. An essential function of this particular final preparation for the solution of hydrogen cars is that hydrogen gas burns much faster than gasoline and therefore with a compression ratio greater than 9.5 to 1 as more likely to suffer damage before detonation (engine knocking). This means that this technology is not applicable to diesel or turbo-charged vehicle technologies we have discussed require storage of hydrogen, either in gas or in liquefied form associated with the inherent technical challenges.

There is another type of technology that uses hydrogen stored in water. This technology is in fact a hybrid technology in which the vehicle still runs on gasoline or diesel, but burns hydrogen. This technology produces hydrogen for cars by electrolysis of water breaks the water molecule in the brown gas. Now the brown gas is a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen and energy is three times more heat than the equivalent volume of hydrogen. One liter of water can actually produce something less than two thousand gallons of brown gas. Kits using brown gas, brown gas supply in the air intake manifold or carburetor vehicles. Because the vehicle is burning an effective vapor fuel gas mixture of brown, these kits are suitable for all vehicles and compression ratios do not seem to be a problem. Since water is the supplementary fuel which hydrogen is extracted no need for hydrogen cars specialist stations.

Solar vs. Wind Power - What is best for you? And more profitable?

More and more people are becoming more environmentally conscious. Most of us are starting to look toward the purchase of our own power to supplement our energy needs. Some of us are still trying to eliminate the need to purchase electricity at all. This is more than likely why you're reading this right?

So the debate about life, against the solar wind. What is right for me? What is more profitable and provides the greatest benefits? Is there a cheaper solution precast solar panels or wind turbines?

First, we will begin our front of the solar wind energy debate looking at solar energy. Our beautiful sun, shining in the sky, providing as much energy to the planet on any sunny day. Sounds good for a source of alternative energy. The creation of solar panels on your roof, gathering all the light that the sun provides to generate electricity.

Let's look at the benefits of solar panels.
  • The sun will not burn in the short term and to generate electricity for an average of 5-6 hours in one day of sun (depending on where you live, of course).
  • Solar energy can be stored in battery banks for later use once the sun goes down.
  • Solar panels last an average of about 20-30 years. A 10 kW solar system at home will produce more than 500,000 kilowatt hours of electricity over the life.
  • Solar energy has absolutely zero impact on the environment. This is a clean source of energy.
  • Solar panels pay for themselves over time, depending on the upfront costs you incur, which can be drastically reduced depending on you.

Now to be fair, let's look at the decline in solar panels.
  • They obviously do not work when the sun does not shine.
  • They generate less electricity in winter as the hours of sunlight per day decreases.
  • They are very expensive up front to buy prefabricated panels and have someone come and install them (fear not, read on !!!).

Transfer to our other competitor in our Solar Vs Wind debate, we must consider wind energy. Let's take a brief look at the benefits and negative aspects of wind generators.

Wind energy is another great natural resource that we must take full advantage. Imagine, every time there was a nice breeze, you could be generating electricity for your home. Take a step further, and if a storm is generating TONS of electricity for your home. For people who live near the coast, or live in mountainous areas of the country, how often the wind stops blowing, really? Why not take advantage of other great natural resource?

The benefits of wind energy are:
  • Wind energy is free, the wind never stops blowing. Yes, some days the wind is calm, but that is usually offset by the spring and autumn days and cold winter winds and storms to incur in the summer.
  • Wind turbines are generally less expensive than other forms of renewable energy.
  • wind towers occupy a small space on your property, some even can be mounted on the ceiling.
  • The power available in wind is proportional to the cube of its speed, which means that doubling the wind speed increases the available power by a factor of eight. For example, 10 hours a mile wind will generate a certain amount of energy (depending on the size of the turbine). At 20 miles an hour wind to generate 8 times the power!
  • Remote areas that are not connected to the grid can use wind turbines to produce their own renewable energy supply.

And now, fair play, the disadvantages of wind energy:
  • Again, stating the obvious, if the wind does not blow, power is not generated.
  • Wind towers can be seen as distasteful for some.
  • Some wind turbines can be noisy, but again, free electricity? I can live with some noise.

Thus, to monitor solar vs wind debate, it seems that there are pros and cons of both. Picking a winner in the debate against the solar wind also appears to be set at an impasse.

The general made the choice of solar wind energy front, ultimately, is to use both to complement each other. If it's a sunny day, the wind can not be safe, solar power is the way forward. Complement your solar panel with a few wind turbines are not sunny days, and a storm is coming, and even power generation. Then there are the wonderful days when the sun is shining, and there is a big breeze, and the debate against the solar wind energy is converted into solar and wind work together to generate more electricity than you need.

Home Wind Energy - Can it work for you?

Have you ever thought much about the many potential benefits of wind energy? In general, not much thought until now has been made in harnessing wind energy for domestic purposes such as generating electricity in the residence. The only concern of the people was to adapt to the joke or the risks of different types of wind flow. Indeed, it was all that mattered on the wind in the daily lives of people.

However, wind power was an attractive feature that scored more than other sources - was plentiful and renewable. Therefore, began to grow in popularity as oil prices started rising rapidly. People realized that in the foreseeable feature, the need for an alternative and cheaper choice, the power source they arise. Therefore, the use of wind energy began to grow in importance. car alternators combined with radiator coolers on an experimental basis. This was done to generate 12 volts DC, which is then stored in storage batteries (120 volts) as automotive. However, the energy generated was low and hike up to the 120 volt AC current was almost impossible. Therefore, these experiments were met with an untimely end.

concerns of business, however, did not remain idle in the meantime. With the objective of a significant reduction in electricity costs, a large number of mini generators and turbines for release in late 2007. All of these devices could be powered by wind. If sufficient wind is available, and networks they use public services, energy bills could actually be reduced substantially. Led by their nature more and more curious, the men decided to build these turbines to harness wind energy to produce electricity for residential purposes. The potential benefits of such use wind energy at home were in fact multiple.

However, success rates have not achieved desired many of these projects. Wind turbines, by nature, made noises at work - something that the neighbors of using the former found disturbing. The complaints were therefore made against the use of such turbines are made to local authorities. The latter also had no choice but to prohibit the installation of these turbines, in cases where mechanical disturbance were made to it. In addition, wind power, in many cases, was not as strong as expected. Sometimes they even failed to turn the turbine blades. The effects of these attempts were not felt by people who tried to sell these appliances. Facing heavy debts, turbines, investors would be used to transform alternating current to direct current of 12 volts, and other accessories were made available for sale. However, purchasers of such things were scarce.

These attempts to exploit wind energy were not in vain, however. Several valuable guidelines could be found in these experiments. Some indicators, such were the following:

a. areas of the city has a lot of tall buildings and skyscrapers that block the smooth passage of wind. Therefore, the home systems of wind power is unlikely to be successful here

b. The ecological balance of urban areas is affected by wind turbines. Therefore, the use of wind energy by these methods were not correct for areas of the city

c. Solar electricity generators must accompany the wind energy at home, for best results. Solar energy systems could work well throughout the say. At night, the turbine blades could be made to turn easily,

d. Home wind turbines should ideally be located at high altitudes, so it could easily capture the flow of wind. Wind turbines in remote workplaces, as well, precisely because the same reason.

e. In places where there are no sources of utility power, wind turbines are a wife at home is recommended for use

f. Home wind turbines were simply small-scale versions of large wind power companies. The components were the same in both cases: whether the turbines, torque controllers, batteries ensure continuous power supply, the elevation necessary for proper set up and the inverter converts the current produced 120 volts AC. Therefore, the problems of the turbine house and large companies were essentially the same as well.

You can configure your system for wind energy in your home. However, it should be done only after receiving adequate information about configuring the system, and the best place to do it - and you can learn this from a manual. The reference manual is also detailed information on the process of wiring, the availability of free batteries and other accessories at affordable prices. The security requirements should also appear here. Once this information is at hand, you can go ahead and install wind energy system at home.

Hydrogen Car - There is no petrol, no diesel!

What is the first you want to hit the road, especially if stuck in traffic is to blame the whole thing in the world in love with the fuel hungry SUV. Use of hydrogen technologies and fuel cells is a key part of lowering emissions of greenhouse gases and climate change. Fuel cell systems offer a promising future technology, with advantages that include zero emissions, high efficiency and minimal noise.

- No global warming ... no depletion of the ozone layer ... No acid rain ... and 100% pollution-free environment - is the utmost need to save our environment. I believe God has been now kind to accept the endless prayers of all of us. No joke man! He has already answered through the genius scientist who have developed Hydrogen Car ... It is a lightweight vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell with enough style and space to compete with luxury sport utility vehicles (SUV).

These cars generally use the hydrogen in one of two methods: combustion or fuel cell conversion. During combustion, hydrogen is "burned" in the engines in fundamentally the same method as traditional gasoline cars. In the conversion of fuel cell, hydrogen is converted into electricity through fuel cells, then the engine power.

What's more, I ask about hydrogen cars ... These hydrogen cars come in cleaning, "green" future envisioned by energy experts, the cars not only get 99 miles per gallon emissions-free, but they can also play a key role in supplying electricity to a hungry world power.

Vehicle developed would be three to four times more expensive than the conventional two or three wheels and operating costs would also be more. But as technology develops, the cost is expected to come down considerably.

Governments the world over are helping fund research into the development of hydrogen from renewable sources rather than the current reliance on coal or natural gas. It is also produced as a byproduct in the industries of chemicals and fertilizers.

The new 5 kW fuel hydrogen vehicles of cells mark the beginning of a new generation of fuel cell technology. The hydrogen needed to power these vehicles can be produced in ways that reduce dependence on oil supplies f, therefore, ensure energy security. Which emits only water and heat as byproducts of this process, fuel cell systems are environment friendly and can run continuously as long as fuel is supplied. Each recharge currently gives around 70 miles miles. It also seeks to increase the mileage of the hydrogen vehicle to 100-150 km per recharge.

hydrogen cars hydregen derived from water use as a primary source of energy for locomotion. the leadership of British Columbia in the development of hydrogen technologies and fuel cells, and is based on the commitment of having the hydrogen highway developed world for the first time in time for the 2010 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games "said Richard Neufeld, BC Minister of Energy and Mines.

UBS has been using 50 demo vehicles at its campus in recent years. While the development of fuel cell vehicles using hydrogen affordable renewable energy remains a target for a large number of countries, including India, the vehicle developed by the BHU uses metal hydrite or solid rods to store hydrogen, an environmentally friendly fuel.

The Ministry has concluded its work plan for hydrogen India envisages generating 1,000 MW power and one million hydrogen vehicles on the roads for 2020 with an estimated investment of Rs 2,500 million rupees. The roadmap has to be part of an integrated energy policy being finalized Reva Electric Car Company PvtLtd (RECC) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will develop two fuel cell hydrogen vehicles (FCV) for a pilot project initiated by IOC, to develop the hydrogen economy in India. Under the agreement, RECC will use its expertise to build these hydrogen vehicles with fuel cell modules and associated components to be procured abroad and IOC will provide the necessary infrastructure to supply and stock hydrogen and to test vehicles in their research and development (R and D) center in Faridabad.
