Coal Quality Control

Purpose and Meaning of Coal Quality
Coal Quality can we interprete as coal quality desired by the Owner in this case the Adaro coal in an environmentally safe and free from contamination

Responsibility for Quality
Basically, all parties responsible for the quality of coal if it was Supervisor or Operator, for every person involved directly or indirectly in the Coal Handling should be able to take responsibility for what he has done to clean coal.

1. Understanding Contamination
Contamination or mixing of the incoming objects or other material into either coal or Non Metal objects such as metals that can reduce the quality of the coal itself

Example of metal contamination, namely:
a. Iron plate, additional plates on the unit
b. Tools, all kinds of bolt
c. Nails bucket, bucket pin nails
d. And all sorts of other metals

Non-metal contamination is an example:
a. Clay, stone, silt stone
b. Rice box, snack box, bottle and glass
c. Wood, plastic
d. And all kinds of rubbish

2. Definition of Big Coal
Big Coal can be interpreted as large-sized coal for more than 50 cm that could cause the cessation of production of Crusher. Big Coal will result in stuck in the crusher so that a Loss Productions. Hence, there should be no big coal and if there had to be solved so that was smaller than the size mentioned above.
Size of coal excavation results did not exceed 0.5 X 0.5 X 0.5 m3.
Big Coal can cause Divergator Blockage

3. Factors causing contamination and Big Coal
Basically principe similar to the Safety, there are four factors that cause of the contamination:
a. Human
b. Equipment Units
c. Materials
d. Mining Method

Human Factors, among others:
a. Lack of understanding of contamination and implementation of regulatory P2H units less than the maximum operator and often not at the Double check by the supervisor
b. Lack of communication between the supervisor operator
c. Lack of concern for supervisors and operators against contamination
d. Attitude of the human factor

Factor of Mechine / Equipment Unit, among others:
a. Condition of unit equipment worn
b. Quality mechine / equipment that is less good

Material factors
a. On certain blocks on the seam of his T.200 HGI could reach 47%
b. Usually at the top of the coal seam encountered Subcrop

Mining Method
a. Mining techniques Cut Drop by often lead to the inclusion of other materials in the coal
b. Front loading narrow
c. Synchronization between devices with front loading loading

PRECAUTIONS TO NOT HAPPEN CONTAMINATION
a. Cleaning the surface of coal is still dirty
b. Intake of coal (coal getting) may not be until about the floor (30 cm-thick coal is left on the floor), the remaining coal will be taken with general activities by units smaller excavators (PC 400 or PC 200)
c. Inserts: Inserts must be separated if the thick insertion> 5 cm.
d. P2H units carefully to avoid metal contamination. Special excavator, bucket teeth should always be diperhatikaan when digging / dredge coal.
e. House Keeping; Care to waste by not littering in the mine area and take the trash scattered, mainly around the ROM and front coal
f. Hand Picking; dispose of contaminants in coal both in ROM and front loading of coal at the PIT (if the amount of contaminants is not significant)
g. Immediately report the incident to personnel contamination QC. The contaminated area will be blocked and disposal action / search contaminant material can use heavy equipment if the amount is significant.
h. If any part of the missing equipment, stop loading and the ROM area in order to search
I. Service and parking is prohibited in the unit except Emergency ROM
j. Check Dump Vessel (for trailers) outside the ROM before loading
k. Make sure the vessel unit net hauler before the start of loading of coal (mainly for the transfer of the OB to the coal hauler)

4. Big Coal Losses
a. The occurrence of long queues which cause production to decrease Kelanis
b. Warning obtain from the Owner
c. Lowering Corporate Image

5. Losses Due to Contamination
For the Company:
a. Add the number of Lost Time Productions
b. Exit costs for the replacement attachment units lost due to contaminated
c. Complain received from Owner

For Supervisors:
a. Who wasted much time to search for missing attachments
b. Due to the declining performance of the Owner Claim
c. Lost employment and reduced concentration

For Operator:
a. Getting a warning from the company
b. Lowered trust and corporate leaders

COAL LOSS
Loss of coal is the coal is wasted / left, so be OB, while coal is supposed to be the product
Actions to be undertaken to anticipate the occurrence of loss of coal is:
a. Taking coal as optimal as possible with due attention to the possibility of contamination from the floor (position of bucket teeth parallel to the floor at the time of making coal)
b. Creating a channel in the floor of coal every 20 m to know the thickness of coal left in the floor. If coal is left behind is still thick, it will be taken again.
c. Preventing tertumpahnya when hauling coal by not filling the vessel is too full (from the pit to the ROM)
d. Neatness charge (from ROM to Port) to prevent tertumpahnya coal, from a large loader unit 90% and a small excavator (excavator fireplace) 10%.

ROM MANAGEMENT
A. Poduct Classification: Separation of ROM Product type
B. FIFO (First In First Out): ROM coal at stock settings so that the coal is first entered into the ROM also first out of the ROM. This was conducted to prevent the burning of coal spontaneously (Spontaneous Combustion)
C. Basement ROM: Nursing basement (thick bedding of coal is 15 cm)
D. ROM Lighting: Lighting should be qualified ROM
E. Morphology ROM: ROM is a convex shape so that the morphology can not be stagnant water
F. Contamination at the ROM: ROM Information contamination in immediately submitted to QC so that contaminants may be blocked and evacuated
G. House Keeping in ROM: ROM Maintain cleanliness of garbage and other contaminants.

6. Reward & Punishment
a. Reward is an award given on the form of employee awareness of the contamination
b. Punishment can be interpreted as a warning to even the punishment given by the firm resulting from a mistake that could hurt the company
