Coal Utilization Technology With Gasification

Coal gasification is a process of changing solid coal into a gas of coal combustion (flammable gases), after purification of process gases is CO (carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen (H) , methane (CH4) and nitrogen (N2) - can be used as fuel.

The use of air and water vapor only as the reaction of produced water and gas or coal gasification emissions to the atmosphere is significantly high, sewage and waste more solid. However, coal is not the perfect fuel. There is bound to sulfur and nitrogen, when coal is burned in the fire these dirt into the air, floating in the air when a chemical can be combined with water vapor (fog, for example) and drops falling to the ground as a sulfuric acid (sulfuric acid) and nitrite, known as acid. Here there are small patches minerals such as common ground, mixed with coal, the small particles do not burn and that the dust is left behind in the combustion of coal, some small particles are also caught in the round of gases combustion with water vapor, smoke from the chimney out some of these small particles is very small, equivalent to human hair.

Clean Coal

There are several ways to make clean coal. Example of sulfur, sulfur is a chemical that colors have a bit of coal, of the coal found in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and other eastern states, sulfur consists of 3 to 10% by weight of coal Some of the coal found in Wyoming, Montana and other state only about 1/100ths sulfur (less than 1%) of the weight of coal. It is important that most of the sulfur away launcher (removed) before reaching the chimney smoke. A method to clean coal is a convenient way to split smaller and clean coal. Some sulfur is available as a speck in the coal called "Sulphur Pyrite", as it combines with a form of iron pyrite, also known as the "Fool's Gold" can be separated from coal.

In particular, in the process at one time, lump of coal was put into the tank full of water, float to the surface when sulfur sink. This cleaning is called "coal preparation plants" clean coal polluters. Not all the sulfur can be cleaned in this way, but the sulfur in coal is actually a chemical linked to the carbon molecular, this form of sulfur which is called "organic sulfur" and washing will not be deleted. Some processes have been trying to mix the coal with chemicals that they release sulfur coal molecules, but most of this process has been too expensive, an engineer is working to reduce the cost of this exchange prose chemical.

Most of the power plant and all modern amenities built after 1978 - have been required to have installed special equipment to remove sulfur from the combustion of coal gas before it rises to the gas fireplace. This is a lot of people called "scrubbers" because they are men-scrub sulfur fumes from the coal burner stove.
